Castro Marina

Castro has one of the most beautiful and evocative bays in Puglia thanks to its inlet, set in the rock and sheltered from the winds.

Castro Marina is a seaside and fishing center, where the gastronomy is based above all on dishes based on mussels and blue fish.

There are numerous facilities and services available to tourists that allow them to feel welcomed by the locals. It is possible to immerse yourself in its blue and crystalline blue flag waters (FEE recognition), rent a boat or visit the numerous caves along the coast thanks to guided boat tours.

The Castro bay is characterized by the presence of the original fishermen's caves that was called "Port of Aeneas", because it was here that the Trojan hero, protagonist of the Aeneid, landed for the first time in Italy.
